Treasure Hunt Map Project Reflection
During the treasure map project, we had to complete steps and go through a process to make a map of the school and use it for a scavenger hunt. Overall, I had a good experience in this project. At the beginning I did not know what to do to help with the project, but shortly after it started, I understood the project more so I was able to participate with the same workload as the others. Another experience I had during this project was learning how to solve domain and range equations. Considering we had to solve many domain and range equations throughout this project, I became much better at solving them than I was before the project started. I also had a good experience as a team member in this project. I felt that I was helpful to my team members, and they were helpful to me. As a result our map project turned out well. Our group had good collaboration during this project. Each group member completed part of the project. Although I did not work as hard at the beginning, I collaborated and worked harder later in the project.

Cookies Portfolio
Our cookies portfolio was a project based on calculations and algebra. It was basically a folder filled with assignments most of them being graphs. Most of these graphs were used to calculate the amount of cookie dough needed to use to make a certain amount of cookies. In conclusion this project was designed to teach us how to use good graphing techniques and algebra to solve problems requiring many steps.

During this unit my skills in graphing and solving equations have had a big change.
I have grown from learning how to create graphs and solve equations. The central problem of this unit was to find the amount of cookie dough and icing to use for a batch of cookies. I have developed many skills for solving graphs. The skill I have mastered is graphing equations. That is how I have grown during this unit.

Shadow's Portfolio

During this unit on shadows we learned about angles and how to calculate the distance of a shadow by using equations. We did an experiment on shadows by using a flashlight and shining it at a tower of cubes. Changing the flashlight around made the shadow become longer or shorter. If you turned the flashlight to a different angle it would cause the shadow to change directions. We also learned about trigonometry in this unit, which showed us how to calculate the distance of something or how high something is. This is what we learned about during this unit.
